Sharon Lee Frye passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday (Dec. 3, 2024).
Sharon was born Feb. 8, 1946, to Lena Anglin and Ralph Keagle. She was a lifelong resident of Champaign.She graduated from the Champaign College of Nursing in 1976 with her LPN. She was well known by many as Nurse Fry
Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her beloved animals, Missy, Molly and Patches. Sharon was an avid Illini football and basketball fan.
Sharon is survived by her brother Bill Keagle; son, Richard (Jen) Frye; daughter, Sherri Kelly; nine grandchildren, James Kelly, Tim Kilman Jr., Amber (Marcus) Albert, Thomas Gaskin, April (Bobby) Hart, Joseph Frye and David, Christopher and Zachary Bloodworth; and 10 great-grandchildren, Tim Kilman III, Kirah Leslie, Reagan Kilman, Taliya Williams, R.J. Hart, Macey Albert, Annalise Bushman, Preston Hart, Kai Albert and Declan Kilman.
She was preceded in death by both birth parents; her stepmother, Bertha Keagle; brother Rodney Keagle; sister, Rebecca Keagle; son-in-law, Mike Kelly; and grandson Clayton Young.
Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at Heath & Vaughn Funeral Home; followed by graveside services at 2 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
