Ronnie Wesley Seaman
Ronnie Wesley Seaman, 71, of Urbana, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at 7:58 a.m. Sunday (March 15, 2015) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Visitation and services will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm Street, in Champaign. The Rev. Melissa Keeble will officiate.
Ronnie was born November 5, 1943, in Urbana, the son of Charles Seaman and Evelyn Hilt. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Teri (Bob) Williamson of Buckley, Kelli Anderson of Homer, Kim (Chad) Fincham of Philo and Heather Chaney of Champaign; his brother, Robert (Kristi) Seaman of Paxton; and four nephews, Jeff (Lori) Seaman of Joliet, Greg (Stephanie) Seaman of Texas, Jeremy Seaman of Arizona and Jason (Colette) Seaman of Indiana.
He enjoyed his 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Megan Moore, Tyler Bonner, Kailyn and Zach Anderson, Chase, Carter and Cohen Fincham, Madisyn Rose and Dalton and Abbi Williamson; and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Moore and Jaxon Dicken.
Ronnie was very active in the lives of his grandchildren, attending many sporting events, school events, plays and concerts in which they were participating.
Two of his best friends and whom he loved dearly, were his dogs Izzy and Peaches.
He graduated in 1961 from Urbana High School and is a U.S. Army veteran. He worked many wonderful years as a car salesman in the Champaign-Urbana area, and also at Kirby IGA, County Market and Schnucks grocery stores, where his incredible sense of humor was enjoyed by many.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing, playing Euchre and jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid Cubs and Illini fan.
