Donald D. Pratt, Jr.

Donald D. Pratt, Jr., 58, passed away Thursday (October 29). He was born
March 17, 1962.

Donald attended Westview, Jefferson schools and graduated from Centennial High School.

He was working for Caterpillar Logistics at the time of his death.

He is survived by his parents, Donald, Sr. and Marjorie; sister, Julie; brother, Miles and sister-in-law Sally; nephews, Sean and Ivan, and a number of cousins.

Donald was a big fan of the Deadwood area of South Dakota, going there several times a year. He was one of those people who never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. He very much enjoyed talking to the men who staged the shootouts in the street and in the No. 10 saloon.

Sports was something he enjoyed, rooting for the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburg Pirates in addition to the Fighting Illini. When the Vikings played the Bears in Memorial Stadium several years ago, he was in the stands.

Visitation will be Monday November 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign..

A private family graveside service will be held.

Condolences to the family may be offered online at http://www.HeathandVaughn.com.

Condolences: I had the privilege of working with both Don and Julie at Caterpillar. On
many occasions I would stop by the North facility and talk with Don about sports and
his plans for the upcoming weekend. I always enjoyed our talks. Julie and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
