Marianne Mosey of Champaign died on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana, Ill.
She was born in Ottawa, Ill. on November 24, 1922, to Irene Cody and Thomas Earl Mosey.
Marianne grew up on the Mosey Farm in Freedom Township, LaSalle County. She attended a one-room country school, having only two different teachers. Miss Mosey went on to graduate from Serena High School in 1940 and received a teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University.
After teaching school for six years in LaSalle County, she spent her next ten years working with the LaSalle County School nurse.
In 1958 Marianne moved to Champaign and began working in Admissions at the University of Illinois until her retirement in 1984.
A.M. is survived by one sister, June (Dr. Gwain) Zarbuck, one brother in-law John Trent, seven nieces and nephews, seventeen grandnieces and nephews and eleven great-grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jane Trent.
Memorials can be made to the Harding United Methodist Church, 4009 E. 1553rd Road, Earlville, IL 61518.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

My condolences to Marianne’s family. I have found memories of Marianne and her parents. I enjoyed playing with her nieces Judy and Jackie when they would come to visit with their Grandparents.
