My name is Betty Brinkerhoff. I worked with “Sandy” for several years with DCFS, first as a case worker when she was an investigator, and later beginning in 2006 when I joined the Day Care Licensing Team and she was working out of the Savoy Licensing Office. She certainly was one to hold to the letter of the standard and when I happened to be assigned some of her cases after her retirement, I did not have to worry that her providers were uninformed as to the requirements of the standards. I always enjoyed working with Sandy and we also shared some laughs during “down” times at work. You have my sympathies for your loss and share your celebration of her life.
