Thomas (Tom) Clark Jackson
Thomas (Tom) Clark Jackson of Champaign, age 64, joined our Lord on
Thursday August 24 at 4:37 p.m. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home
surrounded by his family.
Tom was born on August 23, 1951, in Champaign to Boyd and Elizabeth
(Peirce) Jackson. He married Debra Gohl on May 19, 1973. She survives.
He is also survived by his brother Mike Jackson, sister Jane Woolfolk,
children Gabriel (Shelly) Jackson, Rachel (Patrick) Morrow, Abigail (Matt)
Johnson, and Seth Jackson and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents.
Tom worked at Kraft Foods for 38 years in Natural Cuts until he retired.
He loved his children and grandchildren immensely. His greatest joy after
retirement was spending time with them playing, teasing, and answering all
of their many questions. His own curiosity was endless as was his wealth
He loved nature and all the creatures that lived in his back yard
sanctuary. He looked forward to having the time to create. He enjoyed
building with Lego blocks and model trains.
Tom was a spiritual man with a gentle soul. Although he will always be
loved and missed, he is with God and at peace.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, 405 W. Clark in
Champaign, on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials in his
name can be made to Carle Hospice.

“Debra, sorry about your loss. I remember Tom as a really good guy. I think you may have attended St. Matthew's in grade school. Please take good care of yourself, & let others you trust help you. I read about Tom's passing on the Champaign Reunion FB site. Hope you see this, & it takes some of the sadness away for a moment.”
