Chad J. Hipskind

Chad J. Hipskind, 42, of Champaign, Illinois, unexpectedly departed this life on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at OSF Medical Center.

Chad was born January 21, 1979 in Champaign, Illinois. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, with a special liking for Honda dirt and street bikes. He raced in several AMA races, ultimately placing 6th, 4th and a personal
best at 2nd in 2002. Motorcycles were his life’s passion. He also
enjoyed raising red belly piranhas and took great pride in his gardens and anything he did with his hands.

Chad was a die-hard Notre Dame fan and was known to many as
“Irish.” He watched their games every single Saturday and yelled and cheered as if he was there. He will be remembered by those who knew him best for his incredible sense of humor and ability to make sure that everyone was always having a good time. His absence will be felt and presence will be missed by all who truly knew him.

Chad was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, and one maternal niece. He is survived by his father, Wesley Wilson, of Saint Joseph, Illinois, a paternal aunt, Connie Wilson, of Saint Joseph, Illinois, and sisters Amanda Goode, of Fithian, Illinois and Rachael Gardner, of Rantoul, Illinois, as well as his good friend, Sarah “Kiwi” M.

Chad also leaves behind one son and two daughters.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Chad J. Hipskind will be held at a later date.
