Jason Lynn Cuppernell
Celebration of Life services for Jason Lynn Cuppernell, 39, of Mahomet, will be at 12:30 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.
Andy Baker will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held following services at American Legion Post 24, 705 Bloomington Rd., Champaign.
Mr. Cuppernell died at 5:20 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Rantoul.
He was born June 22, 1974 in Champaign, a son of Robert L. and Nancy (Barger) Cuppernell, Sr.
Jason married his loving wife, Kristie Moseley Cuppernell, on March 16, 2012, in Champaign. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Nancy Jean Burton, of Fisher; his father, Robert L. Cuppernell, Sr., of Decatur; one daughter, Jascee Ann Cuppernell, of Loda; two sons, Jason Tyler Cuppernell Lieb, of Mesa, Ariz. and Jacob Taylor Cuppernell Lieb, of Monticello; one sister, Cristina Louise Cuppernell McCool, of Fisher; two brothers, Robert Lee Cuppernell, Jr. and Nathan Lewis Cuppernell, both of Champaign; three grandchildren, Symon, Aaron, and Angel Alvarado, all of Mahomet; his paternal grandmother, Mary F. Cuppernell, of Decatur; and a stepfather, James McClendon, of Dallas, Tex.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Burton, maternal grandparents, William and Montie Schultz, and paternal grandfather, Hershel Cuppernell.
Jason was employed as a concrete finisher by A-1 Pavement Maintenance, Urbana.
He attended Unity High School in Tolono. He was of the Christian faith. His hobbies included drawing, wrestling, camping and hanging out with family and friends.
