William A. Aker, or Uncle Bill as he was affectionately known to many of us, was born to the union of Robert and Gussie (Clark) Aker on October 27, 1932, in Charleston, MO.  Uncle Bill is now reunited with his beloved wife Nancy L. (Stepney) Aker who went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2006.

Uncle Bill was the last living sibling in his family and was preceded in death by sisters Minnie L. Clark, Hazel Easter; brothers Robert Jr., J.D. (Jerry), Paul, and Luther J. Aker, and parents Robert and Gussie Aker.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Terry (Richard) Maxwell, stepson Stephen Waddington, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, great-great-nieces/nephews, a great-great-great nephew, and friends.

Uncle Bill was left in the loving care of nephew Oliver J. Clark and his wife, Dorlene, who assured Uncle Bill’s every need was met in his life situation when he became unable to do so.
